The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call: Supervisor Phil Heath (present), Clerk Margaret Rock (present), Treasurer Jim Early (absent), Trustee Olga Mancik (present), and Trustee Robert Dopkowski (present).
Public Comment: None
Agenda additions or changes: Add well monitoring to Old Business.
Consent Agenda, Minutes, Disbursements, Fund Balances and Building Report:
Motion by Trustee Dopkowski and seconded by Trustee Mancik to accept the Consent Agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Trustee Mancik and seconded by Supervisor Heath to accept the minutes.
Motion carried.
Clerk Rock read the disbursements: General Fund= $15,238.94
Fire Fund = 847.50
Bldg. Fund = 463.96
Other = 60.65
Total = $16,611.05
Motion by Clerk Rock and seconded by Supervisor Heath to pay the bills of $16,611.05 and to pay one third ($4,560) of the bill to Fowler Construction. (Note: This is for the handicap ramp.) Motion carried.
Fund Balances: Chase (savings) = $376,383.11
MB & T (checking) = 37,560.95
Flagstar = 200,290.76
MB & T (savings) = 15,519.90
Total = $629,754.72
Motion by Trustee Dopkowski and seconded by Trustee Mancik to instruct the Treasurer to renew 4 CD’s for a 1 year time period. Motion carried.
Trustee Mancik gave the Building Report:
3 permits issued
Total money received = $340
Total paid out = $431
Motion by Trustee Dopkowski and seconded by Supervisor Heath to accept the Building Report.

Old Business
Township Property: Received 3 bids ($74, $76, $78 per acre) for farming the property on Sherman Rd., Mark Mancik was low bidder and will be farming the property.
PA 116: The PA 116 was approved by the Monroe Conservation District and we received a letter of approval.
Well Monitoring: Trustee Mancik passed out a sheet which shows wells up about 5’.
New Business
Lanny Edmonds: Much discussion of the property on Ann Arbor Rd. and need to comply with township.
Motion by Supervisor Heath and seconded by Trustee Mancik to expand the parking lot and show progress to MCRC and Milan Township requirements.

Motion Fails
Land Split: A 40 acre parcel with 2.18 acres removed.
Motion by Supervisor Heath and seconded by Trustee Dopkowski to approve the land split for Parcel # 1103201100 owned by John and Jennie Stanger.

Issues from the Board Members
Supervisor Heath – Westshore getting a price for repair of siren at Ostrander and Ann Arbor Road. Talked about stoning Platt Rd.
Motion by Trustee Mancik and seconded by Trustee Dopkowski to put 1” of stone on Platt Road from Cone road to city limits, at cost of $24,000. Motion carried.
Trustee Dopkowski – The county dropped a bunch of stone on Sherman Rd. and wondering what it is for. Supervisor stated the stone is for roads and berms.
Clerk Rock – MTA sent a Principals of Government brochure for township. Set a date for the budget meeting. Will check with Treasurer Early and set budget meeting date and time.
Trustee Mancik – MORE meeting is June 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Milan City Hall. What happens when someone buys a foreclosed properties taxes?
Supervisor Heath – Will buy a laptop on his credit card and turn in receipt for reimbursement. The sign has been painted for front of hall and everyone will like it.
Public Comment –
John Shauer- MTA has a class coming up on Land Use.
Motion by Supervisor Heath and seconded by Trustee Mancik for (2) people to attend the land use class. Motion carried.
Note: Cost is $70 each person under the Early bird enrollment.
Supervisor Heath – Talked with York Township supervisor about trash pickup. After discussion the Supervisor will contact Stevens Disposal about a 1 year contract.
