Milan Township 16444 Cone Rd. Milan, Michigan 48160   September 10, 2009 Minutes   The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call: Supervisor Phil Heath (present), Clerk Margaret Rock (present), Treasurer Jim Early (present), Trustee Olga Mancik (present), and Trustee Robert Dopkowski (present).   Public Comment:       None             Agenda additions or changes:          None             Consent Agenda, Minutes, Disbursements, Fund Balances and Building Report: Motion by Trustee Dopkowski and seconded by Trustee Mancik to accept the Consent Agenda.   Motion carried. Motion by Trustee Mancik and seconded by Clerk Rock to accept the minutes. Motion carried. Treasurer Early read the disbursements:         General Fund  =              7734.18 Fire Fund         =              1694.88 Bldg. Fund       =                497.76 Road Fund       =           20,594.20 Other               =              ___0___ Total                =         $30,521.22 Motion by Clerk Rock and seconded by Trustee Dopkowski to pay the bills of $30,521.22. Motion carried.   Fund Balances:                                                  Chase (savings)           =         $362,172.62    MB & T (checking)      =              21,572.87 Flagstar                       =            202,467.52 MB & T (savings)        =              15,533.60 Total                            =          $601,746.61 Motion by Supervisor Heath and seconded by Trustee Dopkowski to accept the fund balance report.  Motion carried. Trustee Mancik gave the Building Report:   6 permits issued Total money received             =          $467.80 Total paid out                          =          $501.50   Motion by Treasurer Early and seconded by Trustee Dopkowski to accept the Building Report. Motion carried.   Old Business Azalia Speed Limit: The township received a petition from Azalia residents to lower the speed limit. Motion by Supervisor Heath and seconded by Clerk Rock to seek approval from MCRC and the State Police to lower the speed limit. Motion carried.           New Election Commission Meeting: Meeting set for October 8th at 6:30 pm. Public Accuracy Test: Test set for October 23rd at noon.   Issues from the Board Members               Clerk Rock- Karen Jo Lieb is the new assessor. Township will purchase a new laptop for her and will be paid $1400 per month wages. The agreement is on file.   Motion by Treasurer Early and seconded by Supervisor Heath to pay/write a check to Karen Jo Lieb this month for a laptop computer, not to exceed $800 in cost. Motion carried.   Trustee Mancik – MORE meeting on September 24th.
